The summer heat and wildfire smoke is upon us. There are a couple of things the board would like to communicate.

Annual Meeting – Save the date!

Flyers will be soon sent out for the annual co-owners meeting, as required by the bylaws. The meeting is going to be held on Wednesday, September 9th, at the Saline District Library. Expect a mailed flyer soon with more details. Enclosed in the flyer will be a volunteer form and a proxy form. If you are unable to attend the meeting please consider filling out a proxy form.

The board currently consists for 4 members and a vacant seat. Of the 4 sitting members, 2 terms are set to expire this year and will be up for election along with the vacant seat. Members interested in running for and volunteering for the board should fill out and submit the volunteer form. If there are any questions regarding board service, please feel free to reach out to us through Pinnacle.

There will be an Annual Meeting Question drop box available on the website soon to add questions you would like answered at the meeting.

We currently intend to trial host a Zoom webinar during the annual meeting so that those that cannot attend in person can listen in. Do to the complexities of identity verification, at this time webinar attendees will not be able to cast a vote. If you intend to attend the webinar, please consider filling out a proxy form, your online attendance will not count toward quorum.

Street Lights

Some of you may have noticed it has been rather dark late at night. Several weeks ago the Board began to notice a couple of the street lights were out and one had exposed wiring at the base. We were able to report those initially using DTE’s streetlight tool on their website. The problem, however, grew over the past weeks with nearly all the Maplewood Drive lights not operating or operating sporadically. The Board has escalated the issue with DTE and the City of Saline and have had ongoing direct communication on this issue since mid-June.

There have been some temporary fixes but the issue may require extensive repair in order to fix it completely. The board will continue to monitor this and work with DTE and the City to resolve it.
